What is Eco-Friendly House?

Coal resources on earth will sustain only for another 30 years. There are so much of greenhouse gases that will make the ocean level so high that by 2050, one-third of the sea coast areas will submerge in water. Rain forest will no longer be there by 2100. Are you frightened? Time has come to change the way we think. As charity begins at home, this is the time for building an eco-friendly house.

By saving energy in our home, we can contribute a lot to our society. First we may consider putting some skylight. This will bring natural sunlight to the interior of our houses. And I suppose everybody knows about the beneficial effect of sunlight to our health.

Placing some solar panels will save a lot of energy. Even you can run air conditioner, room-heater from the electricity obtained form your house.

Use CFL bulbs that consume low electricity. Most of them offer brighter lights than conventional fluorescent lights. They are costlier to buy, but you will save a lot from your electricity bill.

Low flow toilet mechanism is another great way to save filtered water. In the long run, it saves a huge amount of energy that is being used to purify the water.

This is not an exhaustive list. There are so many other things that you may consider to choose.
